‘DC in D.C.’ weekend to illuminate current issues through comics, including ‘Black Lightning’ world premiere

DC Entertainment is hosting a weekend in Washington D.C. connecting comics to current issues along with premiering the upcoming CW series ‘Blacklightning”:

“During the Martin Luther King, Jr. holiday weekend next month, Warner Bros. Television Group, DC Entertainment and Warner Bros. Home Entertainment are teaming up for “DC in D.C.,” described as “a landmark pop culture event that brings together the worlds of entertainment and public service to illuminate the story of America and current issues through the lens of comics and Super Heroes.”

Events are taking place from Jan. 12 to Jan. 13 at the Newseum, and the weekend will end with a world premiere screening of DC’s upcoming series on The CW, Blacklightning. It’ll take place in the Warner Bros. Theater at the Smithsonian’s National Museum of American History, with a party to follow at the National Museum of African American History and Culture‬‬‬‬.”
