Actresses Kerry Washington and Rashida Jones are working on a film adaptation of the comic ‘Goldie Vance,’ with Washington as producer and Jones as writer and director:
“While the big names in comics and graphic novels get their shots at the big screen, it’s always nice when more of an indie title – in this case, Boom! Studios Goldie Vance – heads towards screens. Kerry Washington and Rashida Jones are working on an adaptation.
Washington will produce and Jones will write and direct the film, which adapts Hope Larson’s title about a 16-year girl, the daughter of the owner of a Miami resort, who dreams of becoming the place’s in-house detective. 20th Century Fox nabbed the rights to the book, illustrated by Brittney Williams.”
