NBC Accepting Applications for “Female Forward” Directors’ Program

NBC has recently opened applications for their program aimed to train female directors:

“The network is kicking off its new initiative, which is focused on providing emerging female directors with training and the opportunity to direct an in-season episode.

In a bid for gender parity, NBC is officially launching “Female Forward,” a program aimed at seeking out and training women directors that was first announced in August.

Starting Tuesday, the first annual program, spearheaded by NBC president Jennifer Salke in partnership with veteran television director Lesli Linka Glatter, is accepting applications from eligible women for 10 slots in the program’s initial 2018-2019 season. The submission window is open for one week, from Jan. 8 to Jan. 17 at 11:59 p.m.”
